Dissonance Dance Theatre Ballet Audition

Dissonance Dance Theatre (Washington, DC/USA) is looking for classical and contemporary ballet dancers (19 years old and up) who are talented, professional, and hard-working. Dissonance Dance Theatre company members are paid positions. Apprentices are non-paid positions. Approximately 30 plus hour work weeks, 10 – 4 pm (Monday – Friday), Company classes, PT referrals, and pointe shoe allotments are provided; limited lodging assistance is available. The FY2024 season starts July 2023 – March 2024 performances in DC, MD, and NYC.

Dancers range from 5’3 to 5’9 for female dancers (pointe shoes required) and 5’6 to 6’2 for our male dancers. Company dancer’s ranks include Senior Artists, Artists, Apprentice, Trainees. The repertoire ranges from folkloric to classical ballet. Dancers must possess a strong classical ballet and contemporary background. Male dancers with classical and contemporary partnering a plus.
