Opéra de Nice Ballet Audition

The City of Nice is recruiting 3 dancers and 3 dancers with a very high classical level and strong stage experience, for the 2022-2023 Season.

The City of Nice will proceed with the recruitment of 3 dancers and 3 dancers, in compliance with the regulations in force. Each positions put up for competition fall under the status of contract under public law as defined by article 3 of law n° 84-53 of January 26 1984 amended and decree no. 88-145 of February 15, 1988 amended. Each position is a main job.

Selected candidates will be offered contracts for the 2022-2023 Season, with the possibility of taking up their duties from July 1, 2022, after having satisfied the compulsory medical examination. For their commitment, the laureates must present the physical and technical conditions identical to those which prevailed at their admission on the day of the competition. Failing this, the City of Nice will expressly reserve the right to reconsider its choice.

For each of the positions put up for competition, a ranking will be established. by the jury for the benefit of the candidates judged suitable to occupy these positions, including in the event of withdrawal, defection or resignation in the jobs considered. The validity of the classification is fixed at May 29, 2023.

The jury is sovereign and the votes and discussions cannot be called into question. All tests are eliminatory. In the event that the hearing is not conclusive, the municipal administration reserves the right not to accept any application or to only partially fill the vacant positions.

Deadline for submitting applications April 30, 2022. Contracts to be filled from September 1, 2022.

AUDITION PROGRAM AND PROCEDURE:
Dance lessons: During this 1st test, the candidates may be eliminated after the barre.
Classical variation: Candidates who have passed the previous test will be asked to perform a variation of their choice from the classical repertoire of the great Ballets of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Candidates must bring the music of their variation on CD.
Other possible tests: Choreographic work, Pas de Deux or improvisation.

Basic gross monthly salary: CORPS DE BALLET €1616.68 to €2272.72 / SOLOIST €2596.06 to €2970.94
