Paris Opera Ballet "La Force du Destin" Audition

Le Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris is looking for 1 female and 3 male dancers for its 2022-2023 operatic season as part of the revival of La Force du destin. Director: Jean-Calude Auvray. Choreography: Terry John Bates, assisted by Paolo Ferri.

Definition of the role(s): Roles of waiters, soldiers for the dancers and role of prostitute for the dancer. Lots of acting in the dance interventions. The handling of swords for a fencing scene is welcome.

Profile sought: Any type of dancer/eur with a good classical and contemporary technique, at ease in the work of lifts, having a knowledge of character dances (flamenco, tango etc) supplemented by a very good musicality. Taste for group work (the candidate must join an existing group). Any age possible. Latin types welcome.

Rehearsal dates: From November 21 to the General on December 9, 2022. The general provisional schedule provides for rehearsals from Monday to Saturday inclusive, at the rate of two services per day. A weekly schedule then specifies the services concerned.

Performance dates:
General: December 9, 2022 / Performances (7): 12, 35, 18*, 21, 24, 27, 30 December 2022. Start of the show: 7:00 p.m./*2:30 p.m.

Collective agreement applied: Opéra national de Paris agreement
Gross remuneration for rehearsals: 44.28 euros gross
Gross compensation for performances: 159.47 euros gross.
