Balletto di Siena Ballet Audition
The Siena Ballet is looking for dancers, citizens of the European Union, to be included within the company for 2023/2024 season and, if needed, starting from June 2023.
The audition is open to male and female dancers with strong ballet technique, and is open to all citizens of the European Union who are at least 18 years old at the date of the application deadline
The audition will be held on Monday, May 8th 2023 at the studios of Balletto di Siena, Piazza Maestri del Lavoro, 31 in Siena and will start at 10:00 am. In case there will be a large number of applications, we are communicating from now that it will be necessary to divide candidates in groups for at least the first part of the audition
Requirements:
- strong ballet technique
- must be a citizen of the European Union
- must be at least 18 years old at the date of the application deadline
- Registration will start at 09:00 am
- The audition programm will consist of:
a) Ballet class
b) Variation (candidates’ choice) of Ballet Repertoire, please come with CD or audio support
c) Contemporary solo, that may be requested by the commission, please come with CD or audio support
d) Company’s Workshop - The audition will be divided into two or more stages, at which point candidates may be eliminated. The audition commission, at its sole
discretion, might ask the candidates to perform the full audition program, as specified above, or only a part. The results will be
announced at the end of the audition.

The Organization is not liable for any postal or fax transmission problems. On the application form the candidate must indicate: name and surname, place and date of birth, citizenship, and address (including phone number, mobile number, fax, email). The candidate must sign the form and attach their curriculum vitae.The application form implies that the applicant accepts without reserve the Audition Commission’s decision. The admission of non-EU citizens is subject to verification of the aforementioned Permesso di Soggiorno, which can only be done in accordance with the legal procedures for the entry and employment inItaly for employees in the entertainment industry. If successful, the candidate will be offered a contract for the project subject to contributions to ENPALS. The contract stipulates a variable fee based on the number of performance. The dancers selected will be accommodated in the company’s residential dorms.
PERSONAL INFORMATION supplied by candidates will be collected at the administrative office for the purpose of processing the audition request. The use of data is necessary to evaluate the requirements for admission. Refusal to provide the data necessary for such purposes will disqualify the candidate from the audition. This information, which will only be used for the purpose of this audition, pursuant to art. 24, c. 1, letter b) of the Decree. No. 196/03, does not require the candidate’s consent for its treatment. The names of all candidates in the audition will be included in the lists that will be published at the end of the audition. The candidate’s rights are described in Title II of the said Decree Law. No. 196/2003.
