Dissonance Dance Theatre – Washington, DC is seeking additional male dancers and female dancers to start season rehearsals on July 24th. In – Person audition is on June 30th in the Washington, DC area. Due to quick turnaround, online auditions are accepted with Zoom interviews and possible choreography assignments.
Dissonance Dance Theatre (DDT) is a growing artistic force in the Washington, D.C. area. DDT builds its momentum through its diverse talent which is hungry, eager, and professional.
Is this You? Dissonance Dance Theatre is looking for classical and contemporary ballet dancers (19 years old and up) who are talented, professional, and hard-working. Dissonance Dance Theatre company members are paid positions. Apprentices are non-paid positions. Approximately 30 plus hour work weeks, 10 – 4 pm (Monday – Friday), Company classes, PT referrals, and pointe shoe allotments are provided; limited lodging assistance is available. FY2024 season starts July 2023 – March 2024 performances in DC, MD, and NYC. Dancers must be cis-gendered, and/or comfortable playing traditional male and female roles.
Requirements:
- strong classical ballet and contemporary background
- minimum 19 years old
- talented, professional, and hard-working
- must be comfortable playing traditional male and female roles
- must have verification of COVID vacinations (complete shot set and booster)
- must not be an adult content creator (Only Fans, etc…)
