Hessisches Staatsballett Audition
The Hessisches Staatsballett is the common dance company of Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden and Staatstheater Darmstadt. Under the artistic direction of Bruno Heynderickx, the 28 strong dancers’ ensemble produces and presents a minimum of three programs each season for which the company commissions nationally and internationally renowned choreographers. The companies’ repertoire includes works by Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, Xie Xin, Edward Clug, Damien Jalet, Imre and Marne van Opstal amongst others.
For its 2023/24 season, the Hessisches Staatsballett is looking for dancers with a minimum of three years professional experience and possess a solid classical and excellent contemporary technique.
The Audition will take place on January 7th 2023 at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden.
Requirements:
- minimum three years of professional experience
- solid classical technique
- excellent contemporary technique
Required documents:
- a full CV including a headshot
- a video link of you dancing a piece
- a video link of a min. 5 minute improvisation

In order to apply to participate dancers should send the required documents by email to audition@staatstheater-wiesbaden.de with the subject “Audition Season 2023/24”
Additional Information:
The dancers that are invited to attend the audition will be notified by email the latest by December 20th .
Only dancers that have been invited will be able to attend the audition.
