JSLN Dance Company (Junior Ballet) Audition

JSLN Dance Company is celebrating its 10th anniversary in October 2022 and has open positions in the Junior Ballet section of the company for this occasion and possible extension afterwards. The audition consists of a ballet class and company repertoire section as well as a presentation of your own solo. Video auditions will be accepted upon request.

Requirements:

• advanced students or recent graduates between 18 and 22 years old
• classwork and repertoire requires pointework for ladies
• own solo can be of any style (please provide music on USB or via bluetooth)
• must be available for rehearsals and performances between beginning of July and end of October
• must be eligible to work in Germany

Prior to registration on the audition day:

• CV
• portrait and whole body picture

Additional for video audition:

• a short classwork video
• solo or variation
• if possible a short showreel of stage experience (YouTube or Vimeo link)

Application Deadline:

Video Audition – 30 May 2022; Regular Audition – 4 June 2022

5 June 2022

To Apply:

Please send your CV, portrait and whole body picture prior to registration on the audition day.

Additional for video audition:

• present a short classwork video
• solo or variation
• if possible a short showreel of stage experience (YouTube or Vimeo link)

We will then send you a short video to study on your own, film yourself performing that piece and sending us that video back.

We have never particularly searched for a certain height or body type; the age restriction solely is based on general life and work experience. We want you to feel confident and present yourself as you are, with your best foot forward and dancing from the heart.

COVID-19 info:

Due to the current situation, we ask you to provide a proof of vaccination and negative Covid19-test result upon arrival (a simple antigen test will suffice). Depending on the number of people at once in the studio, wearing a surgical or FFP2 mask might be required.
