Lodz Dance Theatre – Contemporary Ballet Audition
Łódź Dance Theater – Lodz Dance Theatre is an independent theater whose goal is to create and stage ballet performances. We focus on classical, neoclassical and contemporary ballet. We cooperate with professional classical dancers and educate new young artists on the dance scene. The creator and director is Marek Ludwisiak, an outstanding Polish dancer, choreographer and teacher. The group’s mission is to promote the art of ballet by participating in festivals and artistic shows of dance theater at the highest world level.
Marek Ludwisiak is a Dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. He graduated from the State Ballet School in Łódź and studied at the Amsterdam School of the Arts. Scholarship holder of the Foundation. Stefan Batory and the Ballet Foundation in Szczecin. He performed in the National Ballet Competition in Gdańsk. He danced in many ballet companies in Poland and abroad, including the Polish Dance Theater Poznań Ballet, Theater Magdeburg, Theater Kaisetslautern, Theater Bremerhaven, Theater Cottbus, Musical Theater in Łódź, and the Castle Opera in Szczecin. He was cast in many solo roles, including: The Groom in Les Noces, Don Jose in Carmen, Franca in Coppelia, Pulcinella in the ballet Pulcinella and many others. Dancer and classical dance teacher of the Warsaw Ballet. Artistic director of the Opole Dance Festival 2017 and creator of the Łódź Dance Theater. Member of ZASP since 2015. Currently a free artist.
Working at Lodz Dance Theater – Contempora Ballet gives you the opportunity to develop on a professional stage and gain experience in working with a professional choreographer.
Auditions (by invitation only) on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m in Lodz, Poland.
We would like to extend an invitation to individuals worldwide to audition for this opportunity, however, please note that this is a pro bono position, meaning it is unpaid. We believe in providing equal opportunities to all applicants, regardless of their location, however, considering logistical factors and our base in Poland, and the fact that the project is unpaid, we especially encourage candidates currently residing in Poland to apply.
