Theater Kiel Ballet Audition

Ballett Kiel under the artistic direction of Yaroslav Ivanenko and Heather Jurgensen is looking for one professional male dancer starting at the beginning of the season 2024/2025.

Since taking over the dance company at Theater Kiel in 2011, Yaroslav Ivanenko, together with his partner Heather Jurgensen as co-director and ballet mistress, has focused on building up a versatile, innovative and appealing company that is well versed in classical, neoclassical and contemporary styles. Ballet Kiel comprises 11 women and 10 men.

Ivanenko’s own choreographic language is fluid and athletic, with emphasis on challenging technique and partnering work. Often playfully humorous, his work encompasses refreshing interpretations of ballets from the classical canon as well as original contemporary pieces.
Starting from the 2024/2025 season, we are seeking a male dancer with strong classical and contemporary techniques, as well as improvisation skills. Male dancers must be a minimum height of 180 cm, and professional experience is preferred. Please prepare one classical and one contemporary variation.

We offer

– Remuneration according to “NV stage solo with group”

– Company pension scheme (Bavarian Supply Chamber)

– Job ticket subsidy (NAH-SH/Germany ticket)

– A cooperative and appreciative working atmosphere in a team with a strong sense of partnership

The Theater Kiel offers opera, ballet, philharmonic orchestra, drama, and young theater in northern Germany. Our team comprises over 500 employees from 40 nations, spanning all age groups, who work together to create the perfect audience experience.
