Suzanna Raymond School of Dance operates in Teddington and Hampton. Founded in 1973 in Broad Street, Teddington, the school has been established for over 45 years. Director Suzanna Raymond trained at the Royal Academy of Dance and the Royal Ballet School before joining the Royal Ballet Company in 1962. The teaching team includes Lucy Fletcher, who gained her RAD teaching qualifications in 2008, and Polly Dunne, who teaches jazz, tap and performance company.
The school follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus for ballet, offering classes from Beginners (age 3+) through Grade 8. Classes include ballet, modern, tap, jazz and contemporary. The RAD syllabus covers ballet, free movement and character. Jazz classes are available from age 6 and focus on basic technique including turns, leaps and isolation movements. The school also offers pointe class, show choreography and a performance group with advanced jazz and contemporary.
Ballet exams take place at least twice yearly, with modern and tap exams held at least once per year. Classes are held at Teddington Methodist Church and Hampton Inspired Hub.

The school offers Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Tap, Performance Company, Show choreography, Pointe class, non-syllabus ballet, and RAD Ballet from Beginners to Grade 8.
Children of all ages can join the school’s classes.
The school caters for children from age 3 upwards. RAD Ballet is offered from Beginners (Age 3+) through Pre Primary (Reception age), Primary (Age 6+), and Grades 1-8. Jazz classes are available for Age 6+.
The school offers a Performance Group including advanced jazz and contemporary, show choreography classes, and pointe class. Ballet exams take place at least twice a year and modern and tap at least once a year, with the school maintaining a 100% success rate.
The school follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus for ballet, which consists of three dance disciplines: Ballet, Free Movement and Character. Structured classes develop physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality.
The school offers show choreography as part of mixed ability classes and has a Performance Group. The school participates in dance festivals.
