San Francisco Ballet is home to more than 70 dancers including apprentices, corps de ballet, soloists, principal character dancers, and principal dancers.
by invitation only. To be considered, please send your audition materials to auditions@sfballet.org by December 1, 2023. Audition invitations will be sent out by December 18, 2023. Contracts will begin July 2024 for the 2024-2025 Season. Dancers should have a strong classical technique, proven classical ballet performance experience, and be able to perform a variety of repertoire including, classical, contemporary, and neo-classical.

Please note that an audition is not guaranteed. Successful applicants will be invited to the in-person audition in January 2024. This will be granted once the artistic staff have reviewed your materials and feel that you may be an appropriate candidate. We look forward to hearing from you and receiving your application.
