Youth programmes cater to dancers aged 10-21, with Juniors aged 10-13 and Seniors aged 14-21 in Summer House, and students approximately ages 12-21 in the Weekly Programme. The Developing Artists Programme requires three years of full-time training in professional dance performance. Open classes are for advanced and professional level dancers.
The company offers freelance dancer opportunities and accepts audition materials from professional dancers with three years of full-time training and at least one year of work experience. The Developing Artists Programme provides a structured transition from training to professional practice, with participants completing all three modules considered for opportunities to join the company. Undergraduate students in final year training may seek shadowing and development opportunities.
The curriculum combines classical ballet technique with contemporary movement to develop versatility, musicality, and individual expression. Training includes fluidity, grounded movement, and dynamic performance quality. The Developing Artists Programme includes daily technique class, repertoire and coaching, audition preparation, body conditioning, injury prevention, career mentoring, rehearsal and creation periods, and performance preparation.
The company creates and tours contemporary ballet performances to theatres and community venues. Recent works by Artistic Director Sindy Monson include Echo Lines, Pie Jesu, Orion’s Belt, and Seasons. The Developing Artists Programme culminates in public performances and touring. Participants may shadow company dancers during production rehearsals and performances.
