Bexleyheath Stage School of Dancing was founded in 1972 by Madam Yandie and has been led by Principal Janette Williams for 41 years. Williams, one of the school’s first pupils who started dancing at age 7, studied major exams in I.S.T.D, R.A.D and Cecchetti branches across multiple dance disciplines. The school offers training in dance, singing, drama and musical theatre for pupils aged 18 months to 60 years.
Classes include ballet taught through a Cecchetti-based syllabus combined with RAD and ISTD work, American Tap to examination level, jazz with medal syllabus progression, contemporary dance, and flexibility training. The school offers beginner classes for toddlers, structured programs for children including graded ballet and tap, and adult classes on selected Wednesdays covering ballet, tap and jazz. An invitation-only Show Class provides advanced training in all disciplines for pupils demonstrating strong technique and performance potential.
