Deborah Jayne School of Dance and Theatre operates in Earlsfield, Southfields, and Farnborough. The school began offering ballet and tap classes in Wandsworth in 2015 and expanded to Farnborough in 2021. Classes follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus and are taught by qualified instructors holding ISTD, RAD, and other professional dance qualifications.
The school offers ballet, tap, modern, contemporary, jazz, street dance, body conditioning, musical theatre, acrobatics, and LAMDA drama. Ballet classes progress from Tots level through advanced grades, while tap classes advance from Tots through graded levels. Classes serve students from 18 months through adult, including dedicated adult ballet and tap sessions. Competition classes provide additional training for students in ballet and tap.
Classes take place at church venues in each location and in several nursery and school settings throughout the week. The school also runs a senior theatre company class combining dance, singing, and acting. Students may participate in examinations and performances. The Principal is Miss Deborah Jayne, who holds a BA Honours Degree in Dance & Performing Arts and DDI & DDE ISTD qualifications in Ballet, Tap and Modern.
The school operates in three locations: Earlsfield classes are held at Earlsfield Baptist Church, Southfields classes are held at St. Michael’s Church, 71 Wimbledon Park Road, Southfields, SW18 5TT, and Farnborough classes are held at St Peter’s Church and School, Church Avenue, Farnborough GU14 7AP. The school also teaches in several nursery and school settings in Earlsfield and at Connaught House School in Marble Arch.
The school offers ballet, tap, modern, contemporary, jazz, street dance, body conditioning, musical theatre, acrobatics and LAMDA drama classes. Adult classes include adult ballet, adult tap and wedding dance. Additional offerings include singing classes, competition classes and training, acro juniors, cheerleading, and a senior DSA Theatre Company class combining dancing, singing and acting with street dance. Pre-school dance classes are available for children aged 18 months and above in nursery and school settings.

The school caters for ages from 18 months through to adults. Classes range from Tots Ballet and Tap for ages 2-3 years, nursery ballet, pre-primary, primary and graded classes through to advanced levels, as well as adult classes. Ballet classes begin at Tots level and progress to advanced grades, and tap classes begin at Tots level and progress through grades.
The school teaches genres following the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus. Staff hold qualifications including ISTD Diplomas in Dance Instruction, Royal Academy of Dance qualifications including BA (Hons) in Ballet Education, Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance and registered teacher status, and IDTA qualifications.
The school offers competition classes for further challenging ballet and tap skills through competing. LAMDA drama classes include learning and performing pieces and taking exams.
