State Opera Plovdiv is a performing arts company located in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The organisation was founded in 1953. The company produces and performs different types of stage works. These include opera, ballet, operetta, musicals, and symphony concerts. To support its performances, the organisation maintains its own orchestra, choir, and ballet troupe.
During the summer, the company organises an annual festival called Opera Open. The performances for this event take place at the Ancient Theatre in the city. Throughout the main season, the institution presents regular indoor performances. The company also tours to present its productions in other Bulgarian cities and in foreign countries.
