The Lyon National Opera constitutes a center of excellence, creation, production and training in the lyrical, choreographic and musical fields. Aiming to position itself among the major opera houses in France and Europe, since January 1, 1996 it has benefited from the National Opera label granted by the Ministry of Culture. The Lyon National Opera has permanent artistic forces: ballet, orchestra, choir, masters.
The Lyon National Opera Ballet is made up of 30 dancers. They work on various choreographic languages on a daily basis and thus perform repertoire and creative pieces, in Lyon and on stages around the world.
Today, the ballet of the Opéra national de Lyon is recruiting dancers. These artists must have benefited from excellent training in classical academic language, mastery of pointe technique being appreciated, and confirmed professional experience. They will stand out for their excellent technical level in both classical dance and contemporary dance as well as their great disposition for improvisation. These artists will notably perform pieces by choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, Merce Cunningham, Marcos Morau, Christos Papadopoulos, Lucinda Childs, Trisha Brown, Ohad Naharin, Nacera Belaza, Jan Martens and Marlène Monteiro Freitas.

Audition on Saturday April 20, 2024 at the Lyon Opera from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
