Leipzig Ballet Audition (Soloist)

Oper Leipzig, a municipal enterprise of the City of Leipzig, is seeking for the Leipzig Ballet (Ballet Director: Rémy Fichet), for the 2026/2027 season (01.08.2026), Soloist (f/d).

The Leipzig Ballet captivates audiences with its innovative choreographies and is now regarded as one of the leading international companies. Under the direction of Ballet Director Rémy Fichet, Leipzig has developed into a center for groundbreaking choreographic creations. The roots of the Leipzig Ballet date back to the late 17th century and bear witness to a rich dance tradition.

Oper Leipzig continues a tradition of more than 330 years of music theatre in Leipzig: in 1693, the first opera house at Brühl opened as the third civic music theatre in Europe after Venice and Hamburg. Since 1840, the world-renowned Gewandhaus Orchestra has performed at all opera and Leipzig Ballet productions. In addition to the current opera house built in 1960 at Augustusplatz, Oper Leipzig also includes the Musikalische Komödie in the Lindenau district, a dedicated venue for operetta and musical theatre with its own ensembles. With more than 720 employees, Oper Leipzig is the largest cultural municipal enterprise of the city and is based on five core pillars: Opera, Musikalische Komödie, Leipzig Ballet, the Young Opera and Education 360°, and the theatre workshops, which produce for all municipal stages.
